FOOTBALL GAME TICKETS
As most of you are probably already aware, The University Interscholastic League, which governs interscholastic contests and sporting events such as athletics and band, has issued many new restrictions and guidelines related to capacity limits in stadiums and gymnasiums. Each district must adhere to a 50% capacity limit.
Therefore, in order to appropriately ensure this guideline is followed, tickets for football games are available through a “pre-sale” option only. Tickets will not be sold at the gate, but will be available for purchase during the week of each game. Tickets will be available for parents/family members of players on Mondays and Tuesdays from 8:30 am-2:30 pm. The general public may begin purchasing tickets on Wednesday for that week’s game. Tickets will be available for purchase from 8:30 am-2:30 pm on Wednesday and Thursday, and from 8:30 am-12:00 noon on Friday each week. Also, passes will not be accepted at the gate. However, if you hold a pass (such as a senior citizen or veteran’s pass) you may contact the school to receive a free ticket for that week’s game. DISTRICT-WIDE FREE MEALS FOR STUDENTS
The Jefferson Independent School District is proud to announce a district-wide change in policy of serving meals to children under the National School Lunch Program and National School Breakfast Program for the 2019 – 2020 school year. Jefferson I.S.D. is now eligible to operate the Community Eligbility Provision (CEP), which provides free breakfast and lunch to all children at no charge and eliminates the collection of meal applications for free, reduced-price, and paid student meals. The approach reduces burdens for families and school administrators and helps ensure that student receive meals.
