In order to run for a place on the Jefferson ISD School Board of Trustees, per the Texas Election Code, you MUST MEET the following requirements:
- United States Citizen
- 18 years of age or older on the first day of the term to be filled
- Have not been determined by final judgment of a court exercising probate jurisdiction to be partially or totally mentally incapacitated without the right to vote
- Have not been finally convicted of a felony from which they have not been pardoned or otherwise released
- Have resided continuously in Texas for 12 months
- Have resided in Marion County for 6 months
- Registered voter in Texas for 12 months
- Registered voter in Marion County for 6 months
