  • In order to run for a place on the Jefferson ISD School Board of Trustees, per the Texas Election Code, you MUST MEET the following requirements:

    • United States Citizen
    • 18 years of age or older on the first day of the term to be filled
    • Have not been determined by final judgment of a court exercising probate jurisdiction to be partially or totally mentally incapacitated without the right to vote
    • Have not been finally convicted of a felony from which they have not been pardoned or otherwise released
    • Have resided continuously in Texas for 12 months
    • Have resided in Marion County for 6 months
    • Registered voter in Texas for 12 months
    • Registered voter in Marion County for 6 months
