Jefferson ISD offers an opportunity to earn TEA recognized designations, Recognized, Exemplary, and Master, in a small hometown environment. Once earned, the designation is good for 5 years across the state.

At JISD, Recognized teachers can earn $6,000-$8,000 additional per year, Exemplary teachers can earn $11,000-$14,000 additional per year, and Master teachers can earn $23,000-$26,000 additional per year.
